YB TUAN MOHD ZAWAWI BIN AHMAD MUGHNI TO ENCOURAGE THE DOMESTIC TRADE INDUSTRY BY HONORING 66 AWARDEES AT THE CONSUMER’S CHOICE AWARD (CCA) BY MTPN SELANGOR


Hosted by Majlis Tindakan Pengguna Negara (MTPN) Selangor, the Consumer’s Choice Award (CCA) 2021-2022 was held at the Putrajaya Le Meridian Hotel. The award ceremony was also graced by the presence of Guest of Honor Y.B Tuan Mohd Zawawi Bin Ahmad Mughni, Selangor Islamic Religious Affairs, Consumer Affairs and Halal Industry Committee.



Similar to the previous CCA, the winners of CCA underwent a three-layered inspection by MTPN Selangor in order to pass on the winner title to the nominees of the award. Out of 213 nominees, this prestigious award recognized 66 awardees as they brought back the CCA trophy as an indication of providing their best services in their respected industry. YDP MTPN Selangor, Dato Dr Gavin Voon, believes that by awarding these companies, it will raise the bar in the industry while boosting the growth of the local economy, especially with the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from industry leaders, MTPN Selangor has also awarded numerous organizations that have significantly contributed to the society through various CSR activities throughout the year, taking into account that Malaysia faced many obstacles and challenges over the past year.



A positive relationship between businesses and consumers is one of the most upheld principles that MTPN values. This is the reason why MTPN strongly advises the public to imply honesty and integrity while servicing the consumers. The awardees of CCA were promised to provide quality and legitimate businesses for the consumers as many were concerned about its credibility. Hence, this initiative by MTPN Selangor was intended to encourage businesses to operate using a legitimate business system through a program introduced by MTPN called - “Idenfic”, which provides credibility, trust and recognition for the businesses and consumers.



Dato Gavin also added, “With the intention to acknowledge the integrity, honesty and professionalism in customer services, MTPN Selangor has organized CCA as an initiative to recognize businesses who showed spectacular effort in the Consumer and commercial affairs.”



Y.B Tuan Mohd Zawawi made his points clear by stating, “The thing that caught my attention was that MTPN has a vision that aligns with the mission of the Selangor Government in ‘Preserving the Development and Prosperity of Symmetry, Intelligence and People Care’. With this I would like to get myself involved by providing support to MTPN Selangor hoping that businesses in Selangor would move forward.”
