Yes! Oracle Beauty Center, leading Korean and the world’s largest beauty center, was brought to Malaysia by HSC Healthcare Group and they celebrated the official Grand Opening in the heart of Kuala Lumpur on 24 August 2017.

A Peep Behind-The-Scenes and TOP 10 MUST-TRIES IN IPC SHOPPING CENTER

Yes! I got an exciting opportunity to peek into what's happening at the redevelopment project at IPC Shopping Centre. For now, only Phase One has been launched to the public.

The centre is surrounded by food and it is called as Foodland. They do not only sell food. Here I have attached few photos of shops which are up and running at Phase One.

Long time favourites like Uncle Lim's, De Irrfan's Cafe, Sister's Crispy Popiah, and Noodle Shack have made a return.

The new addition will be AEON Wellness, Penang Road Famous Teo Chew Chendul, I Love Yoo, Myeongdong Topokki. Not to forget, Ben's Independent Grocer will be coming in next few months.

With its new design, IPC Shopping Centre pays homage to its Scandinavian roots with simple yet bold touches.

It has also redeveloped and relocated the Recycling & Buy-back Centre (RBBC), which has a new, sleek, inviting look.

To reward community members for taking care of the environment, IPC  offers a humble buy-back on items such as cardboard, magazines, newspapers, plastic, tin/metals, and aluminium with a minimum delivery of 1 kg.

Through the RBBC, community members also have a place to safely dispose of the used batteries and fluorescent light tubes and light bulbs.



These items contain chemicals that are hazardous to the environment and should not be disposed of in regular solid waste landfills.



Phases Two and Three are still underway with their launches set to follow in the second half of the year.


Level 2 will be an exciting location for families with young children as it will feature kids play area called Funland.

The Best Way to Apply a Foundation

If you ask me what is a foundation then YES this post is for you! Well, a year back I used to wash my face, wear sunburn cream, do my eyebrow and apply lipstick. I am good to go for the rest of the day.

Being 23 the pressure has increased. To enter early adulthood I can no longer be irresponsible like before. Makeup is very important so you will not look pale like you are going to die tomorrow.

Makeup definitely boosts my confidence level. So I gave make up a shot and now here I am doing a blog post on "The Best Way to Apply a Foundation".

A year ago I myself would have asked, "What is a foundation?". I have never had even a slight interest to get to know the makeup products out there.

For those who are like the "old me", I am going to introduce a number of alienated terms. Foundation, concealer, moisturizer, primer and beauty blender. Any idea what are all of these? LOL!

How do most models have a flawless face when they are in a photo shoot while some actually have a pigmented face and some might have acne scar issues.

Foundation is the key to a flawless face. It covers all the unwanted lines (at least it will decrease the harsh lines to fine lines) and it also covers the pigments and also acne scars.

The Best Way to Apply a Foundation

1. Make up free face

When you want to apply a foundation make sure that your face is free from makeup residues. Cleanse your face well so there won't be any oil or makeup residues and you feel clean and fresh.

2. Moisturizer

Yes, you need to apply moisturizer so your face will not be too dry and will be hydrated. This will also ensure that your make up looks moisture and better.

You have to wait for 5 minutes after you have applied the moisturizer so it sinks in the skin and the foundation will be absorbed better later on.

3. Primer

A lot of people are confused if moisturizers are a primer. Moisturizer moistures the face and primer ensure that your make up will last longer throughout the day.

You can skip this step if you don't need the makeup throughout the day. Primer minimises the pores if you ask Primer is necessary. If you have big pores then you can consider this.

4. Foundation

When it comes to the foundation it is very vital to choose a foundation which suits your skin tone. The ones which blend well on the skin without the need to blend is the best choice.

The best tips given by pro is it is the best to choose a foundation by testing it on your jaw line rather than on your hand.

Another tip is to apply the foundation inside out. Where you apply most foundation at the center of the face and from there you push it outwards to the edge of the face.

5. Beauty Blender

Yes, you can use the other tools that you have like a face brush and some might even have silicone blender. I love using a beauty blender as it ensures that excessive products are completely blended.

6. Concealer

Concealer is very important to hide all the redness and dark acne scars which can't be hidden with a foundation. Concealer also works wonder to hide the eye bags and make your face so much better.

Apply concealer on the spots which you want to cover and blend it using a beauty blender.

7. Translucent Powder

Most of you would have known what this is. When I had no idea on what a makeup is all I wear is a translucent powder for my face base after I apply my sunburn cream.

Translucent powder will help the foundation and concealer to set. It gives a shining finishing and will make sure that the makeup will last longer as well.

To those who had no idea, this is how you ensure that your foundation last longer and it will not end up cakey in the middle of the day.

Confidence vs Over Confidence

What are the differences between confidence and overconfidence? Why is it that some people tend to fail even though they are very confident about executing something?

Confidence comes in 2 stages. In stage 1, you have to be confident that you can conduct something. In stage 2 you will have to plan on how to execute something. I call this as a strategy.

You have to plan on how to make something to happen. Make plan A, plan B and so on. Whichever that works to make your vision to happen.

Have the confidence that when you fail in executing plan A, then you can use plan B to make your vision to happen. So that's about being confident and planning your strategy.

And so why is it that some people tend to fail even though they are very confident about executing something?  

This is where overconfident barge in. Most people who are overconfident usually will fail to plan their strategy. Some tend to procrastinate. Some will approach the whole idea without any strategy.

They will take their capability to do something effortlessly for granted. Most of the time, the end result will be terrible as even though they have the confidence to execute something but when they fail to plan then they are planning to fail.

For example, when you are confident, you will constantly do exercises to prepare yourself for an exam. With that, you will confidently enter an exam hall.

When you are overconfident, you will skip the constantly practising part and study one hour before the exam. It happens just because you are overconfident that you can nail the exam.

Have the confidence, plan your strategy and conquer the world!

Luminous Beauty Parlour Grand Launch and Review

I am obsessed with manicure and pedicure but I am used to doing it for myself. For me, if I am to do manicure or pedicure it must be for an occasion and I don't usually go to an extent of doing my nails just because I am attending a birthday function.



Luminous Beauty Parlour invited me to their launch and to my surprise they gave me a complimentary manicure service. Will I miss this chance? Never.



Since my ideas for a manicure in a beauty parlour are actually over hyped so I chose a wedding themed manicure design. Stones. Yes! I chose lots and lots of stones where it glitters everytime I move my hands.



Luminous Beauty Parlour is a very elegant and classy looking beauty parlour. If you need a stress-free time then you have to head to this place.



With their interior looking so lovely, you won't feel like leaving that place immediately. You will choose to stay for hours instead.



Once I was there, they prepared me a cup of tea and I was choosing my design while enjoying the tea. Since I was looking for a very grand looking design so I googled on wedding theme manicures.

I came up with a design and the work started. It took a whole 2 hours. I chose gel and also matte and I chose a combination of silver and maroon.

I didn't feel like the two hours have passed until she told me that she is done as the music was playing which I was really enjoying watching her doing my nails.

The stones on my nails lasted for a week. The gel lasted for 3 weeks. The matte lasted for more than 1 month. Which was really worth it I feel.

I think if you are having a wedding then than it is okay to have stones on your nails. If you want a design which lasts for at least 3 weeks then go for a full gel or matte design without any stones.

To be honest it looked terrible when the stone fell and I had to cover the part with my own nail polish. I think it happened because I was really working with dishes and all for that particular week.



Overall, I am really satisfied with the interior of the Luminous Beauty Parlour and the customer service. Next time I will definitely choose the gel type or matte type of nail polish so it lasts longer.

Nasi Lemak Biryani~ Malgudi Restaurant Petaling Jaya Review

Nope, I am not kidding. It really is Nasi Lemak Biryani!! Nasi Lemak flavour is overtaking Malaysians taste buds through cakes, chocolates, burger and now it is in a biryani form.

Who doesn't love a good biryani right? Malgudi Restaurant serves a great Biryani and now they have come up with a brilliant dish. Their very own Nasi Lemak Briyani!

Nasi Lemak Briyani (NLB) as the name suggests, they decided to replace the traditional coconut milk rice with their specialty biryani rice (cooked in coconut milk) served along with the essentials (cucumber, fried anchovies, peanuts, egg & their version of Sambal) and a scrumptious Malgudi fried chicken.

As you can see in the picture the chicken was to die for. It looks a little overcooked but to be honest it was cooked just nice. I was craving for more right after I had it. 

The nasi lemak biryani will be served in conjunction with Merdeka & Malaysia Day from the 31/8/2017 - 16/9/2017 at only RM19.50. Available for both lunch & dinner.

Another dish that I tried in Malgudi which stole my heart was their Kulfi. The last I tried one was in India and ever since then I was craving for one.

When I tried Malgudi's Kulfi I turned into that happy kid cause the taste was extremely good. I was thinking that it will be extremely sweet but it was just nice that I was able to finish the entire plate within minutes. The Kulfi goes for RM7.50.

Another thing that I loved most about Malgudi is their customer service and their interior. The interior was splendid and the art that they displayed on the wall was really fascinating.

Malgudi is a fictitious town somewhere in south India created by R.K. Narayan in his novels and short stories. Malgudi Restaurant was inspired by R.K Narayan's work.

The Nasi Lemak Biryani is really exclusive so grab yours while it is still available guys. Don't regret later on!

3 Tips For First Time Contact Lens Users!!!

Those who are first timers, who will have millions of doubts and usually screw things up. I have been there. So I know how it feels. LOL!

I have listed 3 tips for contact lens users.

Well, we all know that oil and water will not mix well. If your eyes attract the oil around your eyes then the changes for your eyes to be cloudy eyes is high. To avoid the discomfort it is better to use an oil-free product, at least just near your eyes will do.

Want to avoid the hassle of cleaning your lens everyday then just get a daily disposable lens. It will save a lot of your time and you will never have to face any red eye issue. You also would be able to wear a pair of new and fresh pieces of lens every day. The comfort though.

3. Clean Your Lens Well. I repeat! CLEAN YOUR LENS WELL!

Seriously this is a major issue when it comes to contact lens. How comfortable your lens is going to be the next day is based on how well you have cleaned the lens a day before. You have to clean your lens every day. Not only that, you also have to use fresh solution every time you clean it. Also, do not only clean the case but clean the top part of the cover of the case as well.
